Wedding where guests have to fly and rent a car

My fiancé and I live in LA and the majority of our guests live on the east coast/in the Midwest. We really want to do a woodsy wedding which kinda forces us to do it in big bear, we’ve done a lot of searching and rn our top contender is there. If you fly into LAX it’s a minimum of a 2.5 hr drive, if you fly into a smaller airport like ONT it’s about an hour. All of our guests are above 25 so can rent a car. We’ve been super conflicted about doing this since it’s more of a hassle on our guests but so far this is the venue we can afford that fits our vision. Any opinions/suggestions here? My dad has said “get married where you want to get married” but im worried no one will come because of it.
