Bicyclers Hello!

Hello folks who ride bikes around this lovely city!! I have a few quick questions that I assume have an in depth answer. First some quick background, I recently bought myself a used old school cruiser bike. I intend to ride this old school cruiser to and from work, plus little jaunts to a few other places I go regularly. I used to ride a bike way back when I was in school but then I got a car. Ahh I do miss those days lol anywho.

First, how is biking around the city? I drive a car right now. But after a quick tune up and a helmet purchase I will be riding. Very excited too.

How are you treated by vehicles on the road? I grew up in a tiny town with very little traffic. I was never concerned about riding my bike back then.

What tips do you have for a new rider in this lovely city?
