Glide wax "layering"

Figured I'd post again to get some input and feedback... I'm in the High Rockies and don't want to think too much about temperature and wax variations - at Boulder Nordic recommendation I've been having good success with Holmenkol Blue (thanks, Boulder Nordic!). I've got some Rode Endurance and Rode Graphite that I've used a bit, and have some cold powder that I haven't yet used (same goes for adding race wax(es) and/or other layer(s)).

Wondering about the sequence of applying a wax, scraping/brushing (or not), then the next layer with scraping/brushing (or not) -- or is the process just melting each layer on top of the other with a single, final scrap/brush of the accumulated varieties... If this process description makes any sense.

Might also benefit on guidance for temperature for the iron between various wax types related to the layering.
