Wouldn't a recycling wheelie bin be better?

Why are we in this position where we've got 3 delicate plastic boxes that when stacked take up the same amount of room as this thing calls a wheelie bin?

The wheelie bin has many significant advantages over the common box.

  1. Comes with integrated lid
  2. Has wheels, you can move it without getting covered in bin juice.
  3. The contents can be packed down without fear of splitting flimsy plastic boxes.

I'm half tempted to just ask whether I can buy a wheel bin for recycling
