New update doesn't open new tabs (Linux)

when clicking the "+" to open a new tab it just drops down the url dialog box and doesn't open a new tab. Using Arch and the zen-browser-bin from the AUR.

Not sure if it is a feature but I'd like for it to be how it was, when clicking "+" new tab it would take me to my home screen with all my shortcuts to urls/pages.
