follow-up from my previous post. to my knowledge, the coin wasnt bought mounted, she was given the coin as a gift and she added it to the chain it is currently on. i tried to remove the holder but it seems too delicate to so.

our gran passed away a few years ago and she left us her jewlery. found this on a chain, it is an actual coin, just in a little holder. its a 10 dollar gold coin from 1880. just wanted an estimate on its value as it was last valued 40 years ago at £4,700. what would it be worth now?
