Are there any detailed pictures of the wreck of the USS Maine today after her scuttling? I've only found a grainy bow picture when she was rediscovered in 2000. All other wreck pics are from Havana before scuttling. (USS Maine being towed out to sea for scuttling, March 16th, 1912)

What's your theory on her loss? I personally think a wave flipped her upside down and the sea swallowed her shortly afterward (SS Waratah, disappeared off the coast of South Africa, last confirmed sighting on July 27th, 1909. All 211 passengers perished)

SS Princess Sophia stranded on Vanderbilt Reef near Juneau, Alaska (Stranded October 24th, 1918, slid off the reef and sank on the 25th, all 364 aboard perished)

For some reason, this picture of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald in service haunts me the most. 29 lives lost, sunk, and broken in half at the bottom of Lake Superior during a storm on November 10th, 1975. Such a beautiful vessel. How do you believe she came to rest at the bottom in such a way?

In the late hours to the early morning hours of December 30th/31st, 2000, the Miyazawa family (From L-R, Yasuko, Niina, Rei, Mikio) were brutally murdered by an unknown assailant in what became known as the Setagaya Family Murders. Killer unknown despite wealth of evidence left behind.

Before there was the glorious Gloria, there was the amazing Amanda. My collection: her novels (Irene Iddesleigh, Delina Delaney, Helen Huddleson), her poetry books (Poems of Puncture, Fumes of Formation), and even a biography (O Rare Amanda by Jack Loudon). I hope Gloria is similarly immortalized

This tragedy is almost entirely forgotten despite causing international scandal. (SS La Bourgogne, sank on July 4th, 1898, after a collision with sailing ship, Cromartyshire. "Women and children first" was ignored. 13% of passengers survived. 48% of crew survived. One woman survived, no children)

Shipwreck found by Ignitis Group in Baltic Sea off the coast of Lithuania in 2023. Identity unknown. They say it has no historical significance, but seriously, what happened to this wreck? It's a mangled mess. Did anyone survive?

Imagine being trapped in this nightmare scenario (Ship sinking on the right is the HMS Victoria. Lost June 22nd, 1893, after a collision with fellow fleet ship, HMS Camperdown. She sank so rapidly, her propellers were still spinning and she embedded herself vertically into the seafloor).
